Divas Trading Places

If you failed to catch it, you may be surprised why a lot of the divas have switched brands. For instance, Melina is now at SMACKDOWN with the women’s championship in tow. Candice Michelle, Alicia Fox and Layla join Melina on SMACKDOWN while others have been in new brands like RAW and ECW. With the shakeup, things are bound to get better as far as improving the quality of divas in the shows. Or will it?
As far as championships are concerned, we can safely say that it was a switch on where championship belts would be located. With Maryse at RAW, both RAW and SMACKDOWN have a women’s champion in their fold. How about ECW? Technically, ECW never had one and it doesn’t look like they will soon. ECW got Natalya Neidhart from the draft, a development that can be beneficial to ECW but questionable for Natalya. Why? Where are the divas in ECW and we all know the rarity of their appearances.
It will take some time to get used to the mix up. While the shows often present the divas from other brands regardless of which is the airing show, the switcheroos seem to be something that lack in impact. Yet again, we may see some surprises but please, NO SANTINA MARELLA! It is a disgrace.
