In a continuation of the surprising development last week, Divas Champion Michelle McCool will go head on with Maria Kanellis in a match that is bound to get some answers towards the storming rivalry between the two. It is obvious that Maria is sick and tired of working in the shadows of the All-American girl and she has brought insurance along in the person of Festus.

Will this be a distraction for McCool. Certainly the big guy’s presence is bound to cause problems for McCool. But the question is on whether Maria needs it.

Maria has so far been showing vast improvement as far as her wrestling skills are concerned and if you would gauge her ability to wrest the crown from McCool, it is highly probable. But the problem of the matter is will the shift towards a heel wrestler for the sake of creating a storyline for Maria Kanellis be good for her character?

We have seen such transformations in the past and while she may shift from fan favorite to fan hated, it appears that if Maria wants to excel in the business, she has to suck it up and accept the roles given to her.

It is hard to picture Maria as a heel wrestler but adjustments have to be made. In fact, you may not even classify her as a totally heel wrestler since from the looks of it, she is far from the caliber of a Victoria or a Natalya Neidhart as far as fan approval is concerned.
