Well if you missed SummerSlam, Beth Phoenix is once again the WWE Women’s champion as she and Santino Marella won over their opponents, Kofi Kingston and Mickie James. Phoenix pinned James to win it all for their team.

While it is no question that Beth Phoenix is certified to be the Women’s belt, doesn’t she deserve to be an Intercontinental champion as well?

Prior to their alliance, we all know for a fact that Phoenix has been competing against male wrestlers. Just like any male wrestler who wants to build his career towards the WWE championship, the first target would be the Intercontinental championship.

If memory serves me right, it was the same belt that she and Marella were disputing before they combined forces. Now she has the Women’s belt, what is stopping her from staking a claim at the Intercontinental belt? Obviously she is qualified to handle it and if you play with it a little, Marella would fit being a women’s champion the way he is competing in the WWE.

Seriously, there is a twist here somewhere. Phoenix can handle her own against some of the guys of the WWE and for sure, she can defeat Marella if the match would be made. For all she cares, she can forget about the women’s title and get the better one to which only the legendary Chyna was able to hold it back then. Could she stake her claim or perhaps challenge Marella to a match? Well, love is blind but when it comes to gold, it is pretty clear what a person would want.
