If there is one thing you would want to avoid, it is that of being matched up against the Champion a day after a successful title defense. Apparently, Jillian Hall learned this when she went up against current champion Mickie James. Jillian did show some signs of competition but Mickie James was simply too much for Jillian who was pinned for the first win after the Night of Champions match.

For the record, Mickie James successfully defended her title against upstart Katie Lee Burchill whom most say made a good account for herself. But while that would kick off her diva career in the WWE, she still has a lot to go through before she can compete with the likes of James and other divas who has shown their true worth. As far as Jillian Hall is concerned, the good news is that at least for one night, WWE fans were not forced to listen to her bellyaching on the show, singing of which is a definite no-no for her.

Mickie James on the other hand is bracing for the worst. Of all the divas in the WWE today, it is quite obvious fans are awaiting the challenge to be brought by Glamazon Beth Phoenix. With Melina out of action due to injury, the delayed rematch for the gold is sure to be appended.

But while many feel that Phoenix is a worthy adversary, do remember that James has her number. She has yet to defeat Mickie James ever since she lost the women’s championship to her.
