We all know for a fact that the WWE Women’s championship has sorely lost the attention thanks to the growing rivalry between Beth Phoenix and Melina Perez. But still, that does not mean that there will be no challenges coming the way of current WWE champion Mickie James. And the challenger is Katie Lee Burchill who will go up against James on June 29 at the Night of Champions.

So if you are a constant follower of the WWE, you will ask, “Katie who?” Exactly my point. Well, she volunteered herself while Phoenix and Melina are slugging it out since One Night Stand and apparently she will get that wish. She is not what you may call the fan favorite basically because she is an unknown for now. She has been appearing in shows but still, she does not have the stars to light up the shows like Melina, Phoenix of even Candice Michelle. That is perhaps I tagged this match as a “Ho Hum” affair. It is something like holding a women’s championship match mainly because they need to.

We all know that Mickie will pull this one out. Seasoned and looking good in the past shows, it would be crazy to think that a “newcomer” who has least experience in the wrestling industry suddenly becoming champion. Besides, the real contenders are still feuding and until that is settled, expect Mickie James to hang on to that belt until everything has simmered down. Sorry Burchill, but you still needs some more seasoning to be a superstar diva.
