While Mickie James continues to enjoy the brewing rivalry between former best friends Beth Phoenix and Melina Perez, a newcomer in the person of Katie Lea Burchill has made it known that she wants a shot at James’ title.

Good move if you ask me. Why? Well for one thing, while Mickie is obviously waiting for whom of the two is really the deserving challenger, then why not take the spot for the meantime? Besides, you never know if your luck would change and eventually install you as an instant champion if the stars are shining bright one you right?

Surely, this is what is going on in Katie’s mind. While Mickie is trying to recover from her battle scars from her series of battles with Beth Phoenix, why not hit while they are still fresh. These are obvious fresh wounds that can turn the tides to her favor and like any wrestler, opportunists would do well to make do with these chances.

If there is one thing that may become a downside for Mickie is that she does not know the level of technical wrestling abilities that Katie has. She may be a newbie or perhaps someone who could not rise to the level of competition that Mickie and the others are but anything is possible. Surprises will happen and the WWE is a place where most of them come out. So with that said, will Mickie bite? The tides certainly seem to point in that direction.
