One mistake will be forever a signal for worst things to come. That is perhaps what Beth Phoenix had in mind when she practically abandoned Melina Perez in their match against Maria Kanellis and current WWE champion Mickie James in their meeting last Monday on RAW.

With this developing feud of former best friends, apparently it is showing that Beth Phoenix is slowly being wooed away from the WWE women’s championship picture. With that in mind, you may say that is sort of going a different plight considering that Mickie James is satisfied with what she has now, the gold around her waist.

The WWE has its work out for them and apparently too much focus on the WWE belts is not sitting well with the fans and helping the show ratings as well. Beth Phoenix has long been in the limelight and rarely will you see to heel wrestlers going at it to resolve varying differences due to in-ring technicalities.

Now if you expand it a bit, you will have to consider the aftermath of this meeting. Is it on purpose or another twist in the offing? And should it push through, who will be the eventual face of the two?

These are questions indeed that will be put into mind. Beth and Melina have been long known to be best friend and apparently, much of these issues are sure to be part of this supposedly brewing rivalry. Don’t be surprised that whoever comes out on top will be the first to challenge Mickie James for the title.
