No thanks to another injury, Candice Michelle was forced to relinquish her post to another former Playboy covergirl Ashley Massaro. Ashley thus joins Maria Kanellis to square off against Beth Phoenix and Melina Perez in next week’s Wrestlemania and for sure, a lot of WWE fans are disappointed with these turn of events.

Ashley is a diva superstar on her own right. She is the best suitable replacement for the injured Candice Michelle but as far as in-ring competition is concerned, most critics would agree that this match-up is nothing more than a push given to Maria Kanellis, the latest WWE diva to don the Playboy covers.

As far as this match-up is concerned, expect it to be a sideshow that will not gain much attention. Maria needs the push but if you are a WWE fan, you will surely want some semblance of decent competition of technical wrestling ability which unfortunately Ashley and Maria lack.

There are no cover-ups for this match. Everyone knows how this will turn out. If it goes the other way well you can attribute it to fixed wrestling. An upset? Well maybe acceptable but this time around, the odds are pretty far off. Beth Phoenix has been dominating and Melina is a former champion. How one-sided can it get?

This is not to take anything away from the determination that Maria and Ashley have. But the match-up is just too easy to call. Just wait for things to happen after the match. That is the only drama to look forward to in this match.
