Melina on Fulfilling Dreams

Melina Perez is not among the glamorous divas that has ever graced the WWE and a lot of it stems from the fact that she worked her way to be a diva and not through the usual diva contests to which most of the diva wrestlers came from. She grew up loving wrestling and is on the ride towards fulfilling her dreams as of today.
She may seem cocky at times and often despised by the fans. But as far as wrestling entertainment is concerned, this should not be surprising at all. We all know that we have face and heel divas and apparently, she loves being on the heel side as she tries to follow the footsteps of her idols, Sensational Sherri and The Fabulous Moolah.
WWE fans today will not appreciate the career path that Melina is following but she could care less. It is all about making a statement and being consistent. There are a lot of divas who have gotten their share of opportunities and most of them are already out of the WWE.
Melina may be quiet today as far as exposure is concerned but she still pops out every once in a while. She is also the only divas to say NO to Playboy and this apparently stems from the fact that she is protecting her integrity and would rather work for her stars. You may say that she is a conservative diva but as long as it works and you are still on the roster, the fans will not bite nor contradict your decision.
