While everyone is being ecstatic at Maria’s Playboy unveiling and the return of Candice Michelle, where has Mickie James gone? We do recall, she had her sights on challenging Beth Phoenix for the women’s gold, but apparently she has been totally forgotten and taken out of the WWE picture.

Actually, all the focus and attention now is on Maria which Candice wisely picked as her time to return to active duty. Being a former Playboy model herself, acting as a sidelight to the eventual unveiling of Maria Kanellis’ Playboy stint is the best way to announce to the WWE world that the candy-coated diva she is back in harness.

If you are in Mickie James’ shoes right now, you may be sulking in frustration. Imagine stepping up in the absence of Candice Michelle and any other diva that has failed to give Beth Phoenix any semblance of challenge. You just have to feel for Mickie James that it seems that all her dreams and efforts are totally gone for naught.

But that is just the way it goes in the world of fixed wrestling. You have to follow the scripts. You have to make do with the opportunity given to you and see if the fans will react and love the given “replacement diva”. The ratings will tell it all. In the event you don’t make the grade, everyone knows what is going to happen next. And so its back to the dressing room for Mickie James until a call comes for her to get back into the limelight.
