In case you missed it last Monday, Maria Kanellis Playboy Cover was officially unveiled at the show drawing raves and chants (except for Santino Marella) from the WWE fans. This built up hype has been going on for some weeks now and if you look at it, it is practically the same way that Ashley Massaro did it when she first appeared in Playboy as well some years back.

So now that it is official, will it really bring Maria to new heights as far as normal careers and popularity ratings are concerned? For one she joins the elite number of stars who have posed for Playboy. One thing you can note, most of these divas who have posed for Playboy are still around. They have become forever attached in the minds of WWE fans and perhaps this is one bonus that they can get once they do agree to join the leading men’s magazine, Playboy.

There are others who have declined though. Take for example Melina Perez who swore that she will not be seen doing Playboy. Well, we can respect that. But look at where she is right now? Sulking in a corner and perhaps playing second fiddle to other stars who are working on their ratings.

Melina is not that appealing to most. If we measure it, her fan base is not that commendable. She never made an impact as far as a superstar is concerned. She is best recalled as a manager. Will she care? Well it depends if she is still on the roster in the coming months.
