Why is it not surprising to see Mickie James falling short in trying to win the women’s championship from Beth Phoenix? While she has been trying hard and even vowed to pin the glamazon, nothing has really materialized to this day. The worst part of it is that she is running out of time. If she doesn’t do something drastic, everything will just be a dream. Remember that Candice Michelle is set to return and once she does, she will surely be the top favorite to reclaim her lost title belt that is held by Beth Phoenix.

Mickie James was indeed a good champion. She had her run at glory and never really got it back together after losing it. Many are saying that she won it because of luck and of course the storylines. But as far as heart and skill is concerned, these are two things that are apparently in question for most WWE fans.

There are others lined up in the locker. Many of them are simply trying to survive. Mickie James certainly has a cut above the rest but unfortunately she still lacks something, the heart and determination that past champions showed.

Technical abilities are something else to consider. Mickie sorely lacks the skill and the fire that most divas have today and it is showing. Perhaps a trip back to the developmental league is in the offing for her. It is a totally different ballgame these days in the WWE and if she really wants to be in the limelight, maybe she should build on her technical wrestling to once again gain popularity and consideration.
