No WWE Divas at Royal Rumble PPV
: January 25th, 2008
This year’s WWE PPV, the Royal Rumble, seems to be lacking something. You guessed it right. No divas in action, not even the current WWE Women’s Champ Beth Phoenix. It seems odd to see a PPV without any diva in action. Apparently this all the more strengthens the claim that the WWE divas are indeed losing their touch as far as continuing their impact on the WWE fans. No offense but there is lack of promotions and impact as far as giving importance to the WWE divas division.
Although many of the divas are stunning in looks, it seems that there is more towards physical appearance than meets the eye. The WWE has good divas but none of them have been primed for fame to date. We saw the likes of Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool slowly getting the push needed but there was still something lacking for these two divas. One lacked the technical skills while the other still needs to work on her ratings.
Mickie James tried another run for the title but was short-lived. The others? Well, either they are on the injury list or are busy posing for the cameras. The WWE is a competitive entertainment business. It does not live on pure makeup and sexy lingerie. Phoenix is a dominating champion but apparently her reign has done more bad than good. People are chanting for a new champion. Who could possibly take her place and save the sinking ship of the WWE divas.
