The WWE better come up with better matches other than seeing Beth Phoenix, the current WWE women’s champion making minced meat of the other divas who are supposedly out for her crown. Put in former champions Mickie James and Melina Perez but it still won’t work. Based on the shows, it seems that the WWE is content with seeing one diva dominate them all and this may prove to be costly as far as rating whenever diva matches take center stage.

With due respect to the Glamazon, it seems that she is not the type who can bring in the fans. Even if she would turn to face from heel, let us face it, she is no Candice Michelle. Even the likes of Trish Stratus in their days made a better impact when they were playing from heel to face characters. Phoenix simply does not have the attributes to become a superstar diva and the only thing that makes her click these days is because of her holding the championship belt.

On the part of the WWE, maybe it is a screenplay for the preparation of the much awaited tussle between Phoenix and Candice. But apparently, the latter has not shown up for the script and storyline and it is already 2008. The accident was indeed horrendous for Candice but if the WWE cannot come up with a good impact story as far as the current divas are concerned, then why have a women’s champion who is just going to dominate the class every night?
