Enough focusing on the divas on SMACKDOWN and RAW. ECW has had its share of building rivalry between its stars. Kelly Kelly and Layla El have been at it ever since that former became an instants challenger to Beth Phoenix championship belt. This has carried on for weeks and it seems like it has been brewing a whole lot more seriously.

As you all know, Mickie James has been on a roll lately. It seems like she is being groomed to be the next challenger. But wait. Wasn’t it Kelly Kelly who won the diva battle royal to get the right to challenge Phoenix for the gold? Well, apparently the storylines have been altered once again and from all indications, she is being slowly eased out of the picture. It has been Mickie James picking up the slack and rightfully so since she is a certified former women’s champion who can offer some more challenge to the glamazon.

Add to the fact that rumors have been spreading the Candice Michelle will be back soon. Remember, she was the official challenger before she got injured by the champion herself. The sideline has been weeks of agony for the candy-coated diva and it seems she may be coming back sooner as expected.

So where does this leave Kelly Kelly. We know for a fact that she is no match to Phoenix. She has tried to be as tough as she can be but she still lacks it. Also, fan following is not also too keen on seeing a demure face possibly winning the belt. So now you see why Mickie James has been groomed lately.
