Mickie James Rising Again
: November 28th, 2007
In the light of the lack of able diva talent to provide some ounce of challenge to Beth Phoenix, it is best to turn to former champions to perhaps save the sinking ship of the women’s division of the WWE. Mickie James is a certified former champion, but her recurrent failure on numerous occasions to wrest the crown from then champion, Melina Perez, placed her at the backseat. But at the way things look now, it seems that James is determined to make another go at it and many are seeing the same.
But the road ahead is not easy for Mickie James. Never before has there been a dominant force to hold the title belt and Phoenix is simply overpowering the women in her class. There was one worthy opponent, Candice Michelle. However, no thanks to the injury that she suffered at the hand of the glamazon’s tactless acts in the ring, she has been sidelined to this day.
Mickie James has been on a roll these past weeks and from all indications she may have some luck conquering the woman-mountain. Kelly Kelly is the no.1 challenger but based on performances, it is highly unlikely she can steal away the championship from the dominant Phoenix.
Give James some more matches and surely we can expect something worth watching if and when she gets the next change to make a run at the title. With her experience, we may see hope for a new champion deserving soon. Let us just wait and see.

I don’t think Beth is as powerful as Chyna. I know she’s not. Trish, Jazz, Lita, Molly,Gail etc. would take the belt from Beth in a real competitive match.
BTW: Where is Gail on your list of Divas?
