So Survivor Series just ended and among the events was a diva match to which 10 divas selected made battle. Notable names were on hand including current WWE Women’s champion Beth Phoenix, Torrie Wilson, Kelly Kelly and Mickie James. Absent due to injury was the candy-coated fan favorite diva Candice Michelle who is still recuperating.

Despite her absence, the remaining divas tried to make a match out of it. And guess what, the underdogs pulled it through. Underdogs in the sense that the team of Phoenix had an obvious edge considering she also had Melina Perez on her side. Mickie James stood tall and won the match by pinning Melina.

Mickie James is a former champion so she knows the meaning of rough and tumble competition. There is not question that Mickie James should be a worthy opponent for Phoenix’ throne if and when she does decide to put it up for grabs. However, it is Kelly Kelly who is next in line and surely, everyone knows who has the better chances right? That is if it is a wrestling match and not a beauty contest!

Well, Mickie James proved that she still has it and perhaps with a little bit more fine-tuning she could be a worthy champion should she have the chance once more. But if she does have plans, she has to wait a bit. Kelly Kelly is the number one contender and we all know that Candice is on the fast lane to recovery.
