While she had obviously disappeared, Melina is surely aching to take a shot again at the women’s gold. Being the egotistical diva that she is in her class, she is still despised and her ratings have significantly dipped from past months. She has been taken out of the limelight and a lot of the attention has been thrown at her rival Candice Michelle and the upstart power divas led by Beth Phoenix.

In the last edition of RAW, it seems like Melina is a bit rusty. Either that or Candice has indeed become to dominating in her field. It has been made known that Melina wants to get another chance at the gold. However it doesn’t seem likely to happen as Beth Phoenix is the prime candidate to challenge next for the WWE Women’s belt.

This is of course unless another dramatic turnaround will be done by the WWE writers where Melina would be inserted in the fray of the scheduled match for the WWE women’s championship. A triple-threat perhaps? If so, it would certainly be to the advantage of Melina. From the looks of it, it seems that the only chance she has right now to pry away the belt is to have another player in the match.

Singles competition may not be the best alternative to get back at Candice for Melina. It has been three matches already and she has failed in all of them. Maybe this is what Melina is waiting for. Lets just wait and see.
