Stare Down or Respect?

Beth Phoenix may have lost to Candice Michelle in their title match at Unforgiven, but it doesn’t mean that the latter has heard the last of the glamazon. Well, at least this was what the message that Phoenix was trying to perhaps give across when she and Jillian Hall once again lost to Candice and Mickie James at their scheduled tag team match on RAW.
But this time around, there was no overpowering after-match moves to which heel wrestlers are usually known for. In fact, it seems that mind games have been put into play. Snatching the women’s belt and handily placing it over Candice with authority sent some sort of message to which the current WWE women’s champion may be thinking of at this moment.
A lot of the people who never gave Candice a chance to score the said win over Phoenix were silenced when the GoDaddy girl once again stood triumphantly over the supposed dominant diva. While Candice was obviously giving away a lot in terms of size and weight, she managed to score the pin fall off the overpowering glamazon hence silencing whatever doubts her critics had over her prior to the pay-per-view match.
While there has yet to be a formal announcement of the said rematch, all seems to be academic at this point as Phoenix still looms to be the number one contender at this point for Candice’ belt. Perhaps the rematch will take place at Summerslam. Now that would be something to watch once more!
