Some posts back, it was reported that former swimsuit model and WWE diva Lauren Jones was making a run towards an acting career and such has been granted for her role in Anchorwoman. While she did not really have a big impact on the WWE, she has now seriously turned to acting for remorse.

Many WWE fans are not easily familiar with Lauren Jones owing to the fact that she barely had the proper exposure from the said shows. While this does not apparently serve as her last hurrah, exploring new height such as that of landing the lead role in the television series Anchorwoman that is set to launch on August 22 may be the break that can raise her career.

It is indeed notable that a lot of former WWE personalities have been trying their luck at acting. The Rock, Steve Austin and John Cena have had their share of roles on the wide screen while handfuls have had their chance to appear and showcase their acting as well. The transition from wrestling to acting is not that significant since it is a given that most people appreciate the scripted antics that they do each time WWE airs its shows.

For Lauren Jones, the possibility of having your own TV show is something that may indeed be different. A regular schedule for being the actual Anchorwoman may indeed be time consuming, but the rewards are great especially if the show becomes an instant hit. Lauren Jones knows this all too well.
