Maryse to be the 2008 Playboy Covergirl?

While she is not among the pretty faces that has been frequenting the squared circle, she has been chosen to be the next WWE diva to grace the covers of Playboy’s Special Edition for 2008. Maryse, a French-Canadian model joined the WWE in 2006 where she rarely showed any in-ring capability but was a prominent fixture in managing Rene Dupree and being a backstage interviewer on SMACKDOWN. Other than that, little has been known of Maryse until perhaps now.
This sexy blonde diva was quietly picked out from an active roster of divas who showcase their beauty and in-ring technical knowledge on every WWE episode. Getting her to be the next Playboy model from the WWE seems to be puzzling but this development will surely be good for her overall stature in the WWE. It can be recalled that she was eliminated in that 2006 diva search but was invited to stay on and observe under the wing of the WWE.
It is truly amazing how even the quietest divas can make a sudden impact to hit the news today. Maryse obviously has the looks that will take her to better heights but one has to wonder what made her special among the line of other diva superstars that have already graced the Playboy covers. The list includes the likes of Sable, Torrie Wilson and Ashley Massaro to date.
Whatever the reason, the WWE will surely have a lot to gain. Maryse stars may start to shine by 2008 and the best is yet to come.

Chyna and Christy Hemme have also posed for Playboy. Chyna, not only sold the highest out of the other ladies wrestlers, her magazine was the highest ever.
