Lauren Jones As The Anchorwoman
: June 20th, 2007
Many WWE fans may not know much about Lauren Jones, a WWE diva that debuted in 2005. She was among the rookie divas who competed for the Rookie Diva of 2005 but eventually bowed to eventual winner Joy Giovanni. Jones did not really make an impact since she was relegated to the background due to the numerous WWE divas that were around during her time. She first gained notice when she appeared in the October, 2004 issue of SMACKDOWN Magazine together with other divas and the Big Show.
On whether it was meant to be or not, WWE took notice of her beauty and impact that they signed her up to a short-lived contract. She took part at her first and only pay-per-view, No Way Out 2005 and eventually disappeared from the wrestling scene after a short storyline with Heidenreich. She went back to modeling and other potential aspects of a sagging career, most of which was dedicated towards the WWE scene.
She is now busy recording a reality TV show titled Anchorwoman. While the said show has not really received much attention, this early critics are not seeing the said show to reach new heights. An off-shoot of the Anchorman series, Jones has appeared in various shows as well to promote her acting and modeling career as well. Jones seems to be busy putting her career in retrospect and the WWE’s loss is the celebrity world’s gain. This can be proven with Jones’ appearances in such shows as The Price is Right and Good Morning America among others.
