If you guys will remember – during the time when Mickie first held the Women’s Championship belt and Trish was trying wrest it from her, Trish introduced a new Diva when she went into the ring as part of her “surprise” for Mickie James – that wrestler was Beth Phoenix.That particular storyline centered around Beth having a secret about Mickie and that she was out to get revenge on her. Unfortunately, that storyline was cut short because Beth Phoenix suffered an injury a couple of weeks after her debut, which is a shame really because Beth Phoenix could have really contributed much to the Raw Diva roster.

Beth Phoenix is known for being one of the most notable female wrestlers at the Ohio Valley Wrestling – the developmental territory of the WWE. She has consistently shone in that arena and this actually led to her being called up to the WWE. Her injury put a damper to her eventual rise up the ranks in the women’s division but I still have high hopes for her.

According to Beth Phoenix she actually prefers working as a heel – one of the few wrestlers who really prefer working the bad guy angle. Beth has actually wrestled as a heel throughout her career and her face turn in Raw was one of those rare occasions. I am thinking that with Mickie now the top Diva/wrestler draw in Raw and with Candice injured Beth may just be called up to Raw again. I can’t wait for that time to come.
